COMENIUS, founded in 1995,  means a EU sponsered school partnership programme which intends to promote the cooperation between schools

within the EU. Schools which are selected for the Comenius programme will support the idea of a common and united Europe.

Since 2007 Comenius is part of the EU "Long Life Learning Programme".

It is already for the fourth time that Albert Einstein School Remscheid takes part at a Comenius school partnership programme.

So students and teachers have been experiencing cooperation with their foreign partner schools on various subjects.

We have regular working meetings with our partners in order to share practical tasks, exchange results and make agreement upon future tasks.

Every partner organizes and hosts at least one meeting at his school. English is the main language of communication.

Participating  in Comenius projects does not only help us students to improve our skills in terms of organisation and foreign languages,

but it also broadens our intercultural and political horizon. Moreover, all participants found out at the end of a project that they had acquired more self-confindence as well as better team-working  and communication  skills. These are caracteristics which will be important in our future life.

The international contacts and friendships which are born during the projects often continue many years after the end of a programme.
